The Kaikōura DMP project team has been working hard in the background to bring together a huge amount of material that will help us develop a draft Destination Management Plan for the Kaikōura region.

This will inform what the future looks like in Kaikōura and how tourism can be managed in a way that improved the experience for locals, visitors, manawhenua and businesses.

We’re bringing together the results of community and stakeholder engagement, mana whenua aspirations (work in progress) and in depth analysis to develop a preferred option to be consulted on.

The aim is that the DMP reflects the views of everyone who works, lives and plays in Kaikōura.
