Drive to Kaikoura, arriving ideally late morning allowing ample time to explore our beautiful coastal town on day one.
To capture the beauty of the town you will call home for the next two nights, we recommend first experiencing it it all from above with a Helicopter flight.
Pick your choice of flight options, whether its whale watching, an alpine landing in the mountains or a tour to learn about the 2016 earthquake, they have you covered.

Wake up to the sound of bird song, and enjoy the peace and quiet over breakfast before embarking on the day.
Only just opened in 2021, Hapuku Kitchen at its heart, is focused on reconnecting the kitchen to the land and sea, celebrating the abundant larder nature has to offer - taking inspiration from the wild Kaikōura landscape. Join Fi and Chris, for a hands-on, farm-to-table cooking experiences, a private cooking class or a seasonal evening feast at their Supper Club.
Just down the road, head 5 minutes south for a spa treatment or wine at Kaikoura's very own Hapuku Lodge and Tree Houses. Known for its luxury offering the team at Hapuku Lodge will be sure to pamper you.
After a day of indulgence, head back to your isolated slice of Kiwi paradise, at Pure Pods. At night, we recommend exploring the stars of the southern sky from the comfort of your luxury bed.
