The Tourism Export Council of New Zealand (TECNZ) is a trade association established in 1971 that represents the interests of the New Zealand inbound tourism industry. Their mission is to support and represent our members to achieve sustainable growth in export earnings.

 

They are committed to adding value to tourism businesses and to providing a vital link between tour operators and suppliers of NZ products and services.

TECNZ offers opportunities throughout the year for networking and discussion forums to address current issues.

Inbound tour operator members are the core membership of the Tourism Export Council.
Our aim is to connect them with Allied member product suppliers to develop and service commercial relationships across the travel distribution chain. We are the only association that focuses entirely on the inbound tourism sector

- Business networking opportunities & education
Your attendance to the Tourism Export Councils Annual New Zealand Conference (August) and the Xmas Symposium (December in Auckland) is designed to build long term commercial relationships between inbound and allied members, maximise business growth opportunities and exchange ideas with industry colleagues. Allied member forums is held once a year at conference to discuss issues that are of specific interest to allied operators.

 

- Marketing
The Tourism Export Council and its members are investigating and investing in new visitor markets and updating our partners on emerging trends. A comprehensive website that is easy to navigate allows for information searches and promotion of members and their own business updates. If Inbound tour operators wish to work with Tourism New Zealand in promoting New Zealand off shore to recruit potential clients, then they must be Qualmark endorsed.
