Don't leave your waste - Ensure you have access to a toilet or have an on-board toilet, wastewater collection and rubbish disposal facilities. Do find your nearest dump station for your waste.
Recycling - Please use our recycling centre or recycling stations around town to recycle your empty beverage cans, drink bottles and cardboard packaging or glass bottles.
Responsible freedom camping - Responsible freedom camping in a certified self- contained vehicle is possible in Kaikōura district. Kaikōura District Council controls five dedicated permitted freedom camp sites across the township. Find out where to camp and rules or further information on responsible camping.
