You will find Café Encounter at 96 Esplanade which is also the reception area for the Dolphin Encounter and Albatross Encounter tours. Offering fresh and delicious fare every day (except Christmas Day) including breakfast, brunch and lunch, our beachfront café is the ideal spot to take a break and enjoy some time out or a break in your journey.

The menu caters for all tastes and offers vegetarian and vegan friendly options too. Seafood chowder is a firm favourite and the daily specials plus a well-stocked cabinet provide a mix of delicious tastes from salads, savoury dishes, to sweet temptations. Wine and beer (some locally brewed labels) are also available.

There is a choice of three separate indoor seating areas as well as a large outdoor courtyard decked out with colourful umbrellas and cushions to enjoy the shade. Consistently good coffee and attentive service is what we are known for.
